Christmas Reminders

Christmas is a great time of year because of the great reminders! During Christmas, I'm reminded that:

• In all our lives, we do bad things. Those bad things are called sin.
• Sin makes God sad because God doesn't want us to sin.
• God also wanted a way for us to be free of sin, so He sent His son Jesus Christ to the Earth to live a sinless life, and later die for a crime he didn't commit.
• God later raised Jesus Christ from the dead to show His power over death and sin.

These are great reminders for us all because even though we sin, God forgives us of all sins from the past, present, and future because of what His son Jesus Christ has done for us! Jesus lived without sinning once, so when He died, God saw that as the forgiveness for the sins we do! We can't live a sinless life, but Jesus did for us! We should be punished for our sin, but Jesus Christ took our punishment on himself when He died on the cross!

All we need to do is accept that we sin and hurt God's feelings, but also believe the fact that Jesus Christ is the forgiveness of those sins, believe that God really did raise Him from the dead, and make Jesus Christ the leader of our lives!

When you do that, you can now truly love God, and love and help the people around you! That's a great reason to give gifts this Christmas; our gifts to each other can represent the gift that God gave us through His son: forgiveness of our sins!
